Sharon Scimeca is an inspiring play-based learning and improvisation facilitator and the visionary behind 'Universe of Play'. Her passion lies in creating learning through play experiences for children that allow them to foster meaningful connections with one another. With a background in Psychology and years of experience as a behavior technician and child care worker in Elementary Schools, Sharon's journey as an entrepreneur began with the establishment of 'Universe of Play'. Currently, she continues to engage with students in elementary schools, utilizing various play activities like loose parts play, construction play, sensory play, dramatic play, and improvisation. Sharon is dedicated to empowering administrators, teachers, school support staff and parents with invaluable ideas and resources to design play spaces that nurture children's creativity, social connections, innovation, and global development. When not immersed in the world of play with children, Sharon finds joy in nature walks, taking improv classes, and exploring her creativity through writing.
